At the request of a special needs school in my town, I designed a cover for a commemorative booklet. The booklet contains portraits drawn by children and descriptions of famous and enterprising women from Szamotuły.
My cover concept alludes to the town of Szamotuły through its folk costume. The silhouette of a young woman strides out into the world with a dashing step, symbolizing women's entrepreneurship. On my cover, the Szamotuły woman's silhouette is deliberately cut off at shoulder level – the portraits of famous women are inside and were created by children. Furthermore, it conveys the message that every Szamotuły woman has potential and can conquer the world with a dashing step.
At the request of the organizers, I adapted the design to match the posters advertising the event.
